Meatless® Chicken Chunks is a semi-finished meat alternative based on mycoprotein and pea protein. It is produced by a patented production technology based on hydrocolloids that contribute to texture, binding, and moisture retention in vegan protein sources. Given its’ semi-finished nature, Meatless® Chicken Chunks is a very easy and cost-effective to produce plant-based food products with excellent taste and the right meat-like texture.
The authentically looking chicken chunks are irregularly formed pieces about 1-3 cm thick and 1-4 cm long and have a protein content of around 13 %. They have a nice texture and juiciness, and a natural taste with a mild chicken aroma. The colour is natural, off white, or off yellow. The plant-based pieces are intended as ingredient for all kinds of savoury food products to improve bite and texture. The ready-to-use product is easy to prepare: Defreeze the chunks, bake at high temperature in oil, and add your preferred spices.
