Malodours from the body is caused by a combination of bacteria and sweat on the skin and they can change due to different factors such as hormones, food, medication, or medical conditions. Body and hair can also be exposed to unpleasant odours coming from smoke or cooking, or odours can come from formula bases or perm treatment.
SINODOR® functional ingredient effectively neutralises unpleasant odours coming from the body, environment, or commercials products.
SINODOR® is effective at controlling all types of unpleasant body odours and odours coming from the environment or from commercial products. The ingredient works by bonding with odour volatile components such as thiols and amines and has a wide action spectrum. It can be incorporated in any formulation to reduce the smell of a base.
In vivo tests have demonstrated that it can decrease malodours such as isovaleric and hexanoic acids (feet and underarms odours), skatole and thioglycolic acid (bad breath), and hexalamine (body malodour). In addition, panel tests have shown that SINODOR® in shampoo can significantly reduce smoke odour on hair, whether the shampoo was used before or after exposure to smoke. Besides that, panel tests have shown that SINODOR® can reduce thiols malodour from commercial perm products (ammonium thioglycolate), and fatty acid (oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acids) malodours in formula bases.
SINODOR® is based on Citronellyl Methylcrotonate and has no discernible odour itself. It is a preservative-free oil-soluble liquid. Dosage: 0.2-1%.
