Surfactants are essential ingredients in personal care products such as shampoo and shower gel providing cleansing, foaming, thickening, emulsifying, solubilizing properties. Surfactants have the disadvantage that they can irritate skin and dry out hair and skin. This has resulted in a “sulphate-free” product trend. To address this, we offer a mild, ecological surfactant from Givaudan: APPYGREEN™ 812.
APPYGREEN™ 812 is a sustainable surfactant that enables formulation of “sulfate-free” formulas and products where use of primary surfactants is reduced or minimised, all with remarkable foam volume and stability. Crafted by green technology, it is a mild and ecological surfactant that improves cleaning and increases the viscosity and foam volume of formulations.
APPYGREEN™ 812 has synergies with mild surfactant bases and with or without SLES (Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate), it is excellent for rinse-off cosmetics. Moreover, it is the best natural surfactant on the market for boosting the foam of “sulphate-free” formulas.
