Our body is mainly composed of water, and it plays an important role in skincare. Moisturising the skin helps to preserve water content, softness, and tonicity, and it also helps strengthens the skin barrier. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a polysaccharide molecule naturally produced by the body that helps the skin to maintain moisture and elasticity. The activity of HA depends on its molecular weight.
We offer high molecular hyaluronic acids that has a great water retention and helps protecting, hydrating, and repairing the skin, and clay-vectorized hyaluronic acid that helps HA penetrate the skin’s deeper layers. In addition, we supply low and medium molecular weight HA that is optimal for anti-ageing, helping reconstruction and defense of the skin.
CRISTALHYAL® is a high molecular weight hyaluronic acid with a very high purity. It has a high water retention of 1,000 times its weight in water. The strong hygroscopic properties allow for retention of water at the surface of the skin. It forms a film at the surface in which water is mechanically captured. This helps protecting the skin from external aggressions that otherwise may alter the natural lipidic barrier, and it stops the peeling off of the horny layer of the skin. Because water retains on the surface of the skin, and the water loss is blocked, CRISTALHYAL® also helps providing a velvety skin feel.
CRISTALHYAL® is produced by a biotech production process using non-GMO lactic bacteria multiplying on substrate derived from wheat. Its chemical structure is completely identical to the endogenous one produced by the fibroblasts and keratinocytes. It is a white, water-soluble powder, preservation free. Dosage ranges from 0.01 to 0.3%. It is an easy-to-formulate cosmetic ingredient.

CRISTALHYAL® e-Perfection is a clay-vectorised hyaluronic acid (HA). The special type of clay from bentonite, volcanic ash sediments, helps the hyaluronic acid to penetrate the skin’s deep layers. Bentonite has a specific organisation and is packed together with electrochemical forces. The negative charge of bentonite entraps exchangeable cations, and through a patented and proprietary process, it can be activated to entrap efficiently molecules such as high molecular weight HA.
This results in a complex between clay and HA in which the HA molecules are negatively charged and thus benefits from an electrical attraction from the skin’s deep layer. CRISTALHYAL® e-Perfection has a triple action for in-depth skin perfectness: long-lasting hydration, smoothing and mattifying.
