Selected soluble fibres provide mild sweetness together with fibre content, bulk and mouthfeel.
They can be used in nutraceutical formulations where fibre enrichment is an important part of the product concept. Depending on the ingredient and grade, applications include fibre supplement powders, sachets, stick packs, gummies and selected liquid supplements.
Soluble fibres may also be combined with high-intensity sweeteners to balance sweetness while contributing body and texture.
BENEO-scL85 is a soluble short-chain fructooligosaccharide syrup containing approximately 85% dietary fibre and providing around 50% of the sweetness of sucrose.
Its sweetness, solubility and fibre content make it suitable for selected liquid and soft-format nutraceutical formulations, including fibre-enriched gummies and liquid supplements.
It can contribute sweetness and solids while supporting the intended fibre content of the finished product.
ORAFTI® and METLIN inulin provide soluble dietary fibre with relatively low sweetness. Depending on the grade, inulin can contribute bulk, body and mouthfeel to nutraceutical formulations. Typical applications include fibre supplement powders, sachets, stick packs and selected gummies.
The choice of grade depends on the required solubility, processing conditions and sensory profile.

ORAFTI® SYNERGY1 combines longer-chain inulin with shorter-chain oligofructose to provide a blend of soluble dietary fibres. It is suitable for selected nutraceutical formulations where fibre enrichment is the main objective, including fibre supplement powders, sachets and stick packs.
Depending on the formulation, it can also contribute bulk and mouthfeel.
