AmaChol® - amaranth
AmaChol® is based on amaranth extracted with DEFS® technology that features in vitro studies conducted at the University of Genoa, which have demonstrated the extract’s ability to:
- reduce insulin secretion (-63.4% compared to the control)
- positively modulate the glycemic index (lower than maltodextrin)
- inhibit intestinal absorption of cholesterol by up to 69%
These preclinical data are also reflected at the clinical level: in an observational study on overweight subjects with glucose intolerance, AmaChol® led to a significant reduction in post-prandial glycemia, glycated hemoglobin, total cholesterol and LDL, with an improvement in BMI and body composition.

PataChol® - sweet potato and amaranth
Launched at Vitafoods Europe 2025 in Barcelona, PataChol® is a new sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) extract supported with AmaChol® amaranth matrix. This combination is designed to effectively replace monacolins, maintaining high standards of safety, tolerability and naturalness. BeramChol® - bergamot and amaranth
